I’ve been a permanent member of Oysterband for 12 years but my first gig with them was 32 years ago when I was asked to replace Alan on guitar at Womad, when his son Harry was born. After that I was brought in to play a few shows every year, so I also got to play a lot of shows with Ray.
In the studio I’ve produced 11 albums with Oysterband as well as JJ’s two solo albums and have mixed all of Ray’s solo albums, so we really have made a lot of music together.
Combining all of this in the new trio feels like coming home. I’m really looking forward to touring this new project and seeing what we can create together as I’m sure it will keep growing.
