Hanging out with JJ at a festival last year, he told me the startling news that Oysters were finishing as a touring band, in the same breath he said he wanted to carry on and to form a trio and tour with Al Scott and myself. This was a no brainer. We started with some recording sessions and swopping the masters back and forth. Even though I live in Sweden, I am in good contact with Al and JJ and I did the initial rehearsals in my own studio, playing along with the other two on multitrack.

We know each other very well as people and as artists, so things fell into place very naturally when we met in the Metway studios in Brighton.

This trio is great combo to play in; I get to play a lot of different instruments, I know and respect the skills of the other two and it makes a nice change and a compliment to my solo work. The touring will be quite challenging, we will have to work hard, but that is what we like. In fact we love it.
